VAbronco

OCTOBER 22, 2009: With a mug like this, who really needs more words to describe what fun you’ll have if I become part of your family. My name is Bronco, and I am a 3-4 month old male mix, who loves life and everyone I can find in it! As you can tell from my name, I am going to be an active, sportsminded fella who will need lots of room to run and play. I am like any other puppy and am very curious about everything and will like to chew on everything until I get to know my doggie manners a bit better. Crate training is highly recommended, but I am already showing signs of being housetrained and appear to be one very smart puppy!

If you are interested in making Bronco part of your family, please fill out our online application to start the adoption process.

OCTOBER 6, 2009: When you can put Pearl’s three favorite hobbies – dressing up, getting loved on, and eating – all in one day, she knows she’s in heaven!!!

Pearl Anne: 5 year old deaf cream traditional female who was a stray rescued from the Richmond Animal Control. My deafness is due to my health needs being severely neglected by my previous owners. This great rescue has done everything they can to help me recover and enjoy life again. I am very smart and pay close attention to my foster family so that I know when they want my attention and most people can’t tell because of my friendly personality. I am super-sweet, great with kids, and live comfortably with other laid back dogs. I am already leash trained and behave very well in the house without crating. My favorite hobbies are catching snacks in the air, playing dress up, and going for walks to find a friend. They say I would be great as a therapy dog because I am a nice quiet dog that just wants to be loved. I can’t wait to meet people of all ages to pet and love me all they want.

If I sound like the girl for you, please fill out an application and ask for Pearl-Anne! Please contact foster mom, Tina Wissen if you’d like more information.

Pearl and Bronco are  currently located in Portsmouth, VA.

Senior Adoption in Tennessee

TNnakitaPigeon Forge, Tennessee – My family and I have been fostering a 10 year old Shar Pei for about a month for an acquaintance that lost her home to foreclosure. At this point, it has become an emergency to find her a new home. I don’t know much about her history, but I’m sure I can find out from her owner if you can take her. She’s sweet and gentle, but doesn’t get along with cats. According to her owner, she is purebred, but I’m not sure if she has papers. She’s jet black in color. Please call Pam Bischoff at 740-398-9098 for more details.

Connection Adoption

Sunday, September 6th, 2009

CTkyraKyra: 6 year old spayed flowered female. Outdoors she cannot be off leash because she will not come back and can be excitable. Indoors, however, she is obedient and will respond to commands but can also be whiny. She is an extremely friendly to people and is really curious about other dogs. However, other dogs don’t feel the same way. She has been bitten a few time but has never bitten another dog or showed any aggression. She seems to have the most trouble with male dogs and have lived with female before. She has no known health problems and is up-to-date with her shots. Her family is having a difficult time keeping up with her maintenance now that they have a new baby. They have had her since she was 9 weeks old.

Please email owner Ethan Ung or call 203-623-3601 for more details.

NORTHWOOD, NEW HAMPSHIRE

Roo: 3 year old neutered flowered male mix. Roo is full of personality and would sell his soul for affection. He is obedience and crate trained and loves to play. He is good with dogs and cats and enjoys plenty of exercise. Roo enjoys a good chase and can jump very high so he would be best with an invisible fence of some kind. He loves women and can take a little bit of time to warm up to a man; he would be a loyal pet and a protector of his home. He can be too exuberant for homes with young children or high traffic. He is waiting for just the right home! He comes current on all vaccinations and with an obedience lesson and follow-up, if needed.

Please email volunteer trainer Nancy Fantom or call 603-942-5988 for more details.
